Festival Preview Day 

Festival Preview Day at Tampa Bay Downs has grown into a premier national racing event.
 
In 2007, a crowd of 5,194 came to the Oldsmar oval and to see the Todd Pletcher-trained Any Given Saturday win the Sam F. Davis Stakes, a victory that helped catapult the colt’s stellar 3-year-old career which led him to victory in the Grade I Haskell Invitational. Racing fans also were treated to an impressive win by another of Pletcher's trainees , Cassydora in the Endeavour Breeders' Cup. Autobahn Girl, from the stable of trainer Nick Zito, captured the $75,000 Suncoast stakes.

The 2008 edition of Festival Preview Day is Saturday, February 16. Featured on the card will be the $200,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes for 3-year-olds, an emerging race on the Kentucky Derby trail. The day will also feature the $75,000 Suncoast Stakes and the Grade III $150,000 Endeavour Breeders’ Cup on the turf for fillies and mares running about 1 1/16 miles.
